Problem
When you try to open a resource on an iOS device, tapping Read in nubereader freezes. This can happen in the mobile app or when using Chrome or Safari.
Solution
The following warning is displayed (or nothing happens when you tap Read in nubreader—the tool simply hangs).
Fix on iOS
-
Open Settings on your device.
-
Scroll down, find the nubereader app (or the browser you are using) and tap it.
-
Enable Allow Cross-Website Tracking.
Fix in Chrome (desktop)
-
Open Chrome on your computer.
-
Click More ▸ Settings (three-dot menu, top-right).
-
Select Privacy & security ▸ Site settings ▸ Pop-ups and redirects.
-
Choose the preferred default behaviour (e.g. Allow sites to send pop-ups and use redirects).
Fix in Safari (macOS)
-
Open Safari and choose Safari ▸ Settings (or Preferences) from the menu bar.
-
In the Websites tab, locate Pop-up Windows in the sidebar.
-
Set the sites you want to Allow or Block, or change the drop-down at the bottom to permit all pop-ups.
After adjusting these settings, return to your library, tap Read again, and the resource should open without getting stuck.
