Problem
When you are trying to authenticate the Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) tool with the access credential you have and it gives you an error because it does not recognize it or the tool does not allow you to select the Odilo provider.
Solution
In these cases, it is recommended to create an Adobe ID and authenticate the tool with that credential. Don’t worry, it’s free.
I will guide you through the steps to follow:
Create an Adobe ID
1. Go to http://www.adobe.com/us
2. Click Sign In > Create an account > Fill in the appropriate text boxes on the form > Create account > Enter your Adobe ID and password
Authorize your computer and eReader with ADE
Open ADE on your computer > In Help, click Authorize Computer > Click OK when Adobe completes the authorization of your computer
- Provider: Adobe ID
- Identifier: the Adobe identifier you created
- Password: assigned password
